2010 Saturday Market Guidelines and Application

Who: Farmers, Growers, Food Vendors and Non-Profits
When: Every Saturday from April 17th through October 16th
From: 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Where: At the West end of Stewart Parkway, near Dock master's office.

Who: Artisans
When: Second Saturday of each month from May 15th until October 9th
From: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Where: At the corner of West Main St. and Gladden St. near the red caboose and BC Arts Council.

Booth space is $10.00. Booths will be available on a "walk-on" basis. There is no need to make reservations for the days you plan to attend. There is no membership fee for the 2010 Market.

General Guidelines:

1. Farmers welcome at every Saturday Market
2. Booth space is 12-feet by 12-feet
3. Farmers: Set-up from 7:00 AM, completed by 8:00 AM
Artisans: Set-up from 8:00 AM, completed by 9:00 AM
4. Each vendor is responsible for their own set-up and tear-down. Before leaving, the vendor is responsible to make sure their booth space is clear of any debris. Occasionally vendors may remain after 12 Noon to sell out perishable items.
5. All canopies must be secured to withstand winds. No stakes may be driven into the ground Sand bags, cinderblocks or other weights are required.
6. Bring all your own display materials (chairs, tables, etc.), tarps, and canopies.  Booths are the sole responsibility of the vendor.
7. Electricity is available on a very limited basis.  There will be a charge for electricit. Please let us know in advance if you require electricity.
8 Identification - please display your name or business name proudly.
9. Management reserves the right to exclude some or all of an exhibitor's goods. Should an exhibitor's offerings be deemed unsuitable, the exhibitor agrees to promptly remove the display from the event site. The exhibitor's fee will be refunded for that event

Farmer's Guidelines:
1. Locally harvested or processed goods only
2. Must comply with all applicable safety regulations

Artisan guidelines:
1. Work must be original in design and creation.
2. Exhibitor's contribution must out-weigh any commercial components.
3. Demonstrations are encouraged.
4. Rummage or ‘trunk sale’ items are not allowed.
5. The only exception to these Artisan rules are for current merchants of Downtown Washington. They may participate in Saturday Market at any time.
