2012 Saturday Market

The Saturday Market is held on the waterfront in downtown Washington. The location of the Saturday Market is at the west end of Stewart Parkway, near the Dock Master’s office.  
The Market begins on April 14th, 2012 and runs thru October 13th.

A Weekly Celebration!

Our Saturday Market is fun for the whole family. It is a great place to spend the morning while talking with local farmers or maybe searching for a unique present.

Fresh Produce & Local Seafood!

Our market features local growers of fresh fruit, vegetables, plants and flowers. Our fishmongers offer fresh seafood from local waters. You will also want to try some delicious, fresh baked goods, handmade pastas or roasted peanuts. You never know what might find, the products are always changing!

Washington Artisan Fair

You will likely find that some interesting local Artists will have joined the festivities. Shop for a unique item from a varying display of handmade crafts from jewelry, artwork, pottery to seasonal merchandise. This is the place to find one of a kind gift for that special person!

Beaufort County Traditional Music Association Jam!

BCTMA hosts a Saturday Morning Jam across the street from the Farmer's Market under a shady tree from 10 AM. Musicians of all skill levels are invited to come out for this informal event. Bring an instrument, a chair or just come to listen! www.bctma.org/welcome.html

Saturday Market is also a good thing to do because it supports the local economy. We hope to see you there.

IF YOU'D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE:

WHDA is always looking for more participation to add variety and quality to the Saturday Market.

WHDA is also inviting local non-profits to participate in the Saturday Market. The event has been modified to encourage churches, schools, and civic groups to participate by renting booth space for food and bake sales to publicize and raise funds for their respective organizations.
